ASSOCIATION FOR CRAFT PRODUCERS – KATHMANDU, NEPAL

Three months of living and working in Nepal, learning about the culture and artisanal craft skills, concluded with a large collection of prototype products for the Fair Trade organization, the Association for Craft Producers.

Numerous iterations to perfect the most bouyant shape resulted in this floating, copper Bodhi leaf tea light holder.

A WESTERN VIEW

I drew inspiration from traditional imagery, as well as cultural elements, and melded them with modern design sensibilities. The forms evolved from ACP's current products and aesthetic motifs, taking into consideration the constraints of the artisans and material processes.
